“Not so dramatic” for Nicolo Bulega if Toprak Razgatlioglu record goes unbroken
Nicolo Bulega says he is not worried about equalling one Toprak Razgatlioglu record at the Dutch WorldSBK.

Nicolo Bulega could equal a Toprak Razgatlioglu record at the Dutch WorldSBK, but he says he’s not bothered whether he achieves that or not.
Bulega’s numbers throughout his World Superbike career have been formidable, and his current run of wins that stretches back to Race 2 at Estoril last year means he has now won 10 races in succession.
Three more wins at the Dutch Round this weekend (17–19 April), therefore, would put him on 13, equal with a record set twice by Toprak Razgatlioglu in 2024 and 2025.
“I like [records], but I don’t really care too much,” Nicolo Bulega said when asked by WorldSBK.com about the chance to equal Razgatlioglu’s consecutive wins record this weekend.
“Honestly, if I can do this, it’s very good, it’s nice, but if I can’t it’s not so dramatic.
“The important thing is to win races and try to achieve the big goal, to win the championship.
“But, okay, if I can make records it’s good, but if I can’t it’s okay.”
Bulega’s form at the start of this year has been excellent with six wins from six races, but the Italian also feels he can improve after not having a perfect feeling with the bike in Portugal three weeks ago.
“I arrive here with an incredible feeling because the first two rounds I won all the races,” he said.
“It’s very important to stay focused and keep working with the team because the rivals are strong, are getting stronger.
“We have to improve, for sure, because in Portimao, honestly, I didn’t have a 100 per cent feeling like in Australia. So, I hope to ride more naturally here and have a better feeling.”
The Italian added that he expects his teammate, Iker Lecuona, to be strong in Assen, and noted that Miguel Oliveira will be another rider to keep an eye on after his three podiums in Portimao.
“Last year, me here, I was very fast,” Bulega said, “but also some Yamahas were strong last year here.
“Also, my teammate [Iker Lecuona] can be fast this year here in Assen. Then we have to see Oliveira on the BMW because no one knows how he will be.”
