Sylvain Guintoli back in BSB action at Donington Park test
Sylvain Guintoli steps in for injured Davey Todd at the Donington Park BSB test with 8TEN Racing.

Sylvain Guintoli will return to British Superbike action this weekend, stepping in for the injured Davey Todd at the official Donington Park test.
The former MotoGP rider and WorldSBK champion, who previously raced in BSB in 2009 and 2015, will partner Peter Hickman at the LEW 8TEN Racing BMW Motorrad squad.
Guintoli, also a MotoGP pundit for TNT Sports, has extensive experience with the M1000RR from his World Endurance and BMW Test Team roles.
“I am really excited to come to the BSB test and try the BMW BSB package and I hope I can help the 8TEN Racing team with some more feedback,” Guintoli said.
“It’s always good to get some opinions from different riders and having experienced the BMW package in World Superbike and World Endurance, hopefully I can give them some interesting feedback that might help them for the season.
“I want to wish Davey Todd a full and quick recovery and I am looking forward to it and seeing everyone there.”
Team manager Darren Jones added: “It’s really exciting to have a rider of Sylvain’s calibre joining us for the test this week.
“It is always valuable to have feedback from different riders as we then have more data to work with as we continue our development work.
“It will be interesting, as Sylvain has tested the BMW M1000RR in various different specifications, and we welcome his experience.
“Of course, the whole team also wish Davey a speedy recovery from his injuries; he is doing everything he can to return to fitness and we look forward to welcoming him back.”
The Donington Park test runs from April 3–4, followed by a second official test at Oulton Park on April 21–22.
The 2026 BSB season then begins at Oulton Park on May 2–4.
