2026 Portuguese WorldSBK: Iker Lecuona tops FP3, Miguel Oliveira black flagged

Iker Lecuona topped FP3 in Portugal as many riders chose to do a time attack on the SCX tyre ahead of Superpole.
But Lecuona's was by far the best of all the time attacks, leaving him over 0.4 seconds clear of Yari Montella in second.
Miguel Oliveira was third-fastest on the BMW, but crashed shortly after he set his best time.
One difference in rules between MotoGP and WorldSBK is that if you crash in a practice or qualifying session in WorldSBK you must return to the pits before starting a new lap. This is not the case in MotoGP, and Oliveira clearly forgot about this WorldSBK-specific rule in FP3 as he did not pit after crashing. This resulted in a black flag for the Portuguese rider.
Nicolo Bulega was fourth-fastest and seemed to be one of the riders who did not elect for a time attack. He was just ahead of Sam Lowes who completed the top-five.
Xavi Vierge was sixth, then Alvaro Bautista, Alex Lowes, Garrett Gerloff, and Tarran Mackenzie rounded out the top-10.
