The day started in Portimao with a damp track that saw no lap times set in the morning. In the afternoon, things were not much better.
Only two riders set lap times, Tommy Bridewell and World Supersport rider Philipp Oettl. Xavi Vierge also went out on both bikes at the end of the day but didn't set a time.
Bridewell was fastest between himself and Oettl, but his benchmark for the day was 17 seconds off the lap records, which are in the 1:39s for both pole position and race records at the Algarve circuit.
