2026 Official Phillip Island WorldSBK Test: Results - Day 2 (FINAL)

The final 2026 World Superbike pre-season test concluded at Phillip Island in Australia on Tuesday afternoon.

The two-day outing saw sessions alternate between the WorldSBK and WSS classes, with the Tuesday schedule as follows:

09:10-11:10 – WorldSBK Free Practice 3
13:40-15:40 – WorldSBK Free Practice 4

After leading both sessions on day one, title favourite Nicolo Bulega broke into the 1m 28s in Tuesday morning's FP3 - when Jake Dixon was injured and ruled out of the season opener by an early highside.

Bimota's Axel Bassani then turned the tables on Bulega for much of the final FP4 session. 

However, the Aruba.it Ducati rider responded dominantly in the closing stages, completing a perfect sweep of the timesheets with several best laps of the test and a 0.666s advantage.

Second went to Sam Lowes, after a back-and-forth with fellow satellite Ducati rider Lorenzo Baldassarri. The late flurry saw Bassani pushed down to fourth.

The next time riders will be on track is for Friday morning’s opening practice at the Phillip Island season-opener.

The opening hour of the final session at the Phillip Island WorldSBK test sees Axel Bassani last out of the pits but then straight to the top of the timesheets.

The Bimota rider starts the final hour with a 0.249s advantage over Nicolo Bulega, although the Ducati star's FP3 lap remains the best of the test so far...

FP3 ends with Nicolo Bulega back on top with the fastest lap of the week so far, finishing almost half-a-second clear of next best Yari Montella and Axel Bassani.

Honda HRC rookie Jake Dixon suffered a fractured wrist in his early accident and will miss this weekend's season-opener. Stefano Manzi - who also brought out red flags on the final morning - has been declared fit to continue...

Day two began with Axel Bassani putting Bimota on top until Bulega set the best lap of the test so far with a 1m 29.086s. Jake Dixon is the only rider without a lap time after an early crash...
