Journalist and author Phil Wain is the special guest on the Crash MotoGP Podcast

Journalist and author Phil Wain joins the Crash MotoGP Podcast for a special episode to discuss his new book, Isle of Man TT: The Illustrated History of the World’s Greatest Motorcycle Road Race.
A lifelong motorcycle racing and Isle of Man TT fan, Phil Wain has covered the sport for various publications, including Bikesport News and MCN for over 20 years.
Phil also has an encyclopaedic knowledge of the Isle of Man TT, helping fellow journalists out for years with his statistics.
He has now written a book about the Isle of Man TT, entitled The Illustrated History of the World’s Greatest Motorcycle Road Race.
Published by Collins and featuring a foreword by 23-time TT winner John McGuinness, this new book charts the event from its inception all the way to the present day.
The book features a fantastic range of images from across the decades, as well as deep insight into the TT as it has evolved over the years.
The book also charts many of the famous names who have stamped their mark on TT history, as well as the machinery they raced.
In a special episode of the Crash MotoGP Podcast, Lewis Duncan is joined by Phil Wain to discuss his new book and how it came together.
They also take the opportunity to assess the current state of the event, as it continues to grow to new heights.
With the TT beginning in just over a month’s time with the first practice sessions, Phil and Lewis look at some of the big hitters coming into TT 2026 and what the pecking order might be.
