Day 2 of the 2026 Sepang Shakedown Test ends with Yamaha's new V4 on top of the MotoGP timesheets for the first time, courtesy of Jack Miller.

Like factory Monster riders Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins, Jack Miller skipped day one, then rose to the top with a 1m 57.908s in the final hour of day two.

The Pramac rider's best lap edged out the only other 1m 57s lap by long-time leader Pol Espargaro (KTM). Pol's brother and day one pace setter Aleix Espargaro was relegated to a close third for Honda (+0.158s).

Quartararo, making his first appearance since a report that he has signed to join Honda in 2027, and Rins made it three Yamahas in the top five.

Rookie and reigning WorldSBK champion Toprak Razgatlioglu was 0.897s behind team-mate Miller, in seventh.

LCR Honda rookie Diogo Moreira also improved on his day one best, but remained 2.022s from the top.

Mika Kallio was over six seconds adrift but is suspected of testing with an '850cc' KTM package.

The third and final day of the Shakedown takes place tomorrow, followed by the Official Sepang test from February 3-5.
