Diogo Moreira has revealed he borrowed a pair of gloves from Marc Marquez for his MotoGP debut in Thailand.

The LCR Honda rider, who regularly trains with reigning champion Marc Marquez and brother Alex, confirmed the story at a recent Estrella Galicia 0,0 media event.

"Yes, I used [Marquez’s gloves]. Mine didn't fit me well, so I asked him for them. [I thought] let's see if they help me gain a couple of seconds," joked Moreira.

"I really enjoy training with him,” he added. “It has always been a dream to train with Marc or Alex. I try to learn what I can, and he always helps me a lot."

The Brazilian, who will have his own gloves for this weekend’s home round at the Autódromo Internacional Ayrton Senna in Goiania, scored his first MotoGP points with 13th place at Buriram.

"I'm happy, it was a positive debut. We took a big step forward from the test to the race, even though there is still a lot to learn,” GPone.com quotes Moreira as saying.

Reflecting on his career so far, reigning Moto2 champion Moreira said:

“I sacrificed many things to come to Europe and start here from scratch, just with my father.

"I left my whole life in Brazil behind. But I did it gladly, because in the end it was my dream: to become world champion and reach MotoGP.

"If I had to do it all over again, I would.”

The first Brazilian MotoGP since 1992 begins with opening practice on Friday morning.
