Red Bull KTM’s Eli Tomac took his fourth win of the 2026 AMA Supercross season at Daytona, extending his record for wins at the Florida speedway to eight.

Tomac only started fifth in the 405SX Main Event, but before half-distance he was already to the lead, passing Malcolm Stewart, Cooper Webb, Hunter Lawrence, and Ken Roczen within the opening eight minutes of the Main Event.

With five minutes remaining Lawrence was able to make his own move on Roczen. He was faster than Tomac at the end, but didn’t have the time to close the gap down, leaving Tomac to take his eighth Daytona Supercross win by just over a second.

Second for Lawrence means he keeps the points lead over Tomac heading to Indianapolis next week, his advantage reduced back to one point – the same margin as before his Arlington win.

Roczen held on to complete the podium in third place, while Cooper Webb and Joey Savatgy closed out the top-five. Both Roczen and Webb are now 20 points behind the championship lead.

Behind Savatgy, Aaron Plessinger was sixth, ahead of Garrett Marchbanks, Shane McErath, Justin Hill, and Malcolm Stewart who completed the top-10.

Dylan Ferrandis retired from the Main Event before the start, while Chase Sexton was absent from Daytona following a mid-week practice crash. Sexton is now 49 points behind the championship lead.

250SX: Hammaker dominates for first 2026 win

The 250SX East race in Daytona was a story of two riders who had largely opposite races.

The first was Seth Hammaker, who led start-to-finish by multiple seconds after getting the holeshot, securing his first win of the season.

The second was Cole Davies, who was 12th at the holeshot line and ninth at the end of the first lap, but who was able to lap, on occasion, up to two seconds faster than the race leader as he clawed his way into podium contention.

Davies had got to within a couple of seconds of Jo Shimoda in a battle for second with two-and-a-half laps to go when Shimoda crashed in the sand, one of the areas – along with the whoops – where Davies had been especially fast.

Shimoda’s crash opened the door for Davies to go after Hammaker, but he ultimately didn’t have the pace to close the gap down in the last couple of laps.

It also promoted Pierce Brown to the podium, the Arlington winner maintaining a 100 per cent top-three record for the season through two rounds as Shimoda dropped to fourth.

Daxton Bennick was fifth in his second ride for the Rockstar Husqvarna team, while Coty Schock beat Nate Thrasher to sixth. Cullin Park, Devin Simonson, Caden Dudney and Jalek Swoll rounded out the top-10. Swoll was originally classified eighth but was docked two positions post-race for grooming in front of his gate before the start.

Drew Adams had been running in the top-five in the early stages of the race, but pulled out in the closing stages.
